Daddy/Daughter Dance

A few weeks ago was the Daddy/Daughter dance at the elementary school, and Josh and Jessica went. Since Jessica is in 5th grade, this was her last year to go (sniff, sniff... tear, tear...). I was feeling melancholy about the whole thing, so I volunteered to work at the snack/beverage table so I could watch the whole thing and snap pictures... all of which Jessica was a little embarrassed about, but also something she's used to it. I'm always snapping pictures and everywhere at the school. She can't get away from me. She didn't make a big deal about it. I was glad to be there. When it was over, Josh took her next door to Wendy's to get a frosty before going home. Apparently that's a tradition they've been doing after the Daddy/Daughter dances each year. Here are some pictures of the night --

A Drastic Haircut

I took Jessica, Alex and Logan to Columbus this last weekend to visit my sister's family. We had originally planned to go for my nephew Ethan's 2nd birthday a few weeks ago, but it was a very icy and snowy weekend. I felt uncomfortable with the thought of driving down in that weather. So instead, we planned to come a few weeks later, which happened to be this last weekend. We had a fun time with our aunt, uncle and cousins! Kim also gave me a haircut. I was getting really tired of my LONG hair. It had taken me 2 1/2 years to grow it this long (see picture below). Joshua and I figured almost 12 inches was cut off! Crazy... but now my head is a lot lighter... I really love it! THANKS KIM!!
