Warren Sand Dunes 2010

The Warren Sand Dunes are located along the shore of Lake Michigan in the southwestern part of Michigan. We've been twice before and we LOVE it there. So, this summer we decided to go back again (it's been two years), and this time we brought along our friends, the Cuff family. We've gushed about the sand dunes to them before, so they wanted to go with us this time. We had a blast!!

Day 1 was spent playing on the beach, and hiking over to the clay pit next to the creek beside the sand dunes. We also climbed to the top of one of the tallest dunes, located next to the beach, called Pike's Peak.

Day 2 was spent hiking the 4 mile path around and through the dunes. The Cuff family came part way, but our family hiked the whole route. We also climbed the tallest dune, Mt. Randall. Wow! It was exhausting, but so much fun and with so much beautiful scenery!!
